Although the word �??mutt�?� can sometimes have a negative connotation in the English language, it simply means that the dog�??s parents were not registered and were not both of the same breed.
Other terms for this might be �??mixed breed�?�. This truly has no bearing on the quality of the dog because mutts can still make amazing pets!
In fact, sometimes mixed breed dogs will have some of the positive qualities of the breeds of each of their parents, making them delightful in all of the best ways. Sometimes it can be obvious by looking at certain mutts what breeds their parents were, but other times they may have a conglomeration of characteristics.
