Observing the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Udham Singh on July 31. It is a day to remember the history of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and how the event changed the life of Shaheed Udham Singh. He is a historical figure from the pages of the Indian freedom struggle against colonial British rule. General Dyer was given the order to open fire on the crowd that had peacefully gathered to protest the arrest of pro-Indian independence leaders. Shaheed Udham Singh assassinated O�??Dwyer, and he was hanged for murder in 1940. The day is observed every year to pay homage to the brave freedom fighters.
